September is the best time to surf at our San Sebastian Surf Camp. The summer crowds are gone, the weather and waves are amazing, the water is warm… Stay in a converted Basque farmhouse with a national park as our backyard. Enjoy views across the Pyrenees foothills to the Atlantic Ocean. Surf the best waves in Europe for all levels of surfer. Explore San Sebastian, its food and bar scene, and the Basque Country. Hang out with amazing people, skate our skateboard ramp, drink beer, wine, sangria and local cider in our OPEN BAR, all meals included, daily yoga classes… it’s your little slice of summer paradise!
Why The San Sebastian Surf House
San Sebastian in September is an absolute delight. Hot, but not unbearable, with waves coming in from the Atlantic Ocean, but not summer’s huge swells. There will be less tourists in the Old Town, which means we can bar hop and try the famous local cuisine – pintxos and other Basque specialities – without competing with tour groups. This is an absolutely stunning part of Spain, and this summer is the time to check it out.
Our Surf House is located in the village of Aia, in the hills behind Zarautz, one of Europe’s best surf beaches for all levels. Less crowded than San Sebastian city beach, with more space and less surfers, this is the perfect place to catch your first waves, or move down the beach to share a peak with the local pros. Our house is a converted Basque farmhouse, with dorms for sleeping, an epic common area with bar, table tennis, yoga studio and dance floor, and a big deck with views all the way into the valley and across the sea.
