Good boat, good food, great snorkelling and also the CEO helped me so I could do a dive instead of snorkelling one of the days which I really appreciate. Could skip the beach clean up, not that its not needed but after collecting several of bags with trash the bags where just left on the island. Just left us all with a bad feeling, first of all seeing all the trash and then collecting as much as we could, was so much left though, just to leave it on the island in the end 🤷♀️. BUT the tour was great!

7N Maldives South Male Local Island HoppingIt was my first time travelling with Secret Paradise. Entire tour was as per itinerary. I really enjoyed time spent with our guide (Shark) and the fact, that we had a chance to see bit of 'real Maldives'. Each island had it's own atmosphere. Accommodation was simple, but everything fully functional and reasonably clean. Wi-Fi didn't work in the room (2 guesthouses), but did work at the reception/outside the room. I wasn't bothered by this much. Food was generally fine, depending on the guesthouse, quality varied. Regarding snorkeling, my top location was coral garden near Maafushi island. (nice corals, plenty of fish, turtles). We were even lucky to see dolphins during our day snorkeling tour. Generally this tour was very nice experience. One thing, I would point out. Clients with mobility issues should discuss this tour first with the tour provider I guess. If your room is on upper floor, you need to be able to walk upstairs, walk around the islands (if you wish to participate in guided tour) and during snorkeling trips you need to be able to climb back into the boat using a ladder. :-)

Maldives Uncovered3.6 (5 reviews)award winnerWe went on this trip in March 2013 and we had a wonderful time, as it was a great way to see such a beautiful place. The overall trip was excellent value and the itinerary enabled us to experience the Maldives in so many ways and also with a small group. We did both of the now optional extras and the crew on the boat were very friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous and in ample supply as well as variety to meet everyone’s taste’s. They also took us to great places for snorkeling which enabled us to see sea turtles, sting rays and even a shark not to mention the many species of beautifully coloured fish. We stayed at the Paradise Island resort and this was a lovely way to end the trip. We would not have thought to do such a trip and were glad that we took advantage of the discounts and booked it at the TNT Travel Show. We will definitely look to book a future trip with encounters travel.

Maldive Dhoni CruiseIt was my first time travelling with Explore. All I can say, it was absolutely flawless. Food was amazing, good variety, vegetarian options. Boat crew were always helpful and very pleasant. Our guide (Hi) simply a star. He was taking a good care about us, making sure, we have unforgettable holidays experience. He made many pictures and go pro videos, which he then shared with us. The itinerary was great. We had many opportunities to snorkel. Some coral reefs were simply so beautiful with plenty of fish, we visited shipwreck and even had an opportunity to swim with nurse sharks. Unforgettable experience for sure! :-) What I found outstanding was, how the boat crew prepared our bbq banquet dinner table at the beach, even creating manta ray from the sand in front of the sand table. Equally, I was amazed by the decorations our 'Kethi captain' made for our last dinner table. He created fish, birds from the leaf's, carved small boats to hold the napkins and coconut lamp. It was just so so nice. :-) Would I come again? Definitely yes. Would I recommend to other travelers? Definitely yes. Only one thing I would point out. I would suggest clients with mobility issues discuss this tour first with the tour provider. They may have problems moving around the boat, getting on/off dinghy and may not be able to participate in snorkeling, which is a shame. ;-)

Maldives Island HoppingI’ve recently returned from a trip in the Maldives with Indy Escapes and I wanted to say a particular thank you to the host and guide Lucas Chesterton. I was really scared of open water and I’d booked this trip to try and conquer my fear. He was excellent. He was patient and encouraging and help me conquer my fear. Not only was I happy to jump in the water by the end of the trip but he had me swimming with sharks, mantas, whale sharks and even diving with turtles! I can think him enough. I don’t think I would have had the confidence to do any of that with anyone else! The trip itself was also fantastic. I got to see a side of the Maldives I didn’t know about. We stayed in local islands, hang out with locals, tried delicious food, and stayed in lovely accommodation. I would thoroughly recommend Indy Escapes for anyone wanting to explore the Maldives!
