There are five questions in this Topdeck trip quiz, and the first gives you the option to narrow down your tour options, or you can get a bunch of random trip suggestions by using the ā€œsurprise meā€ option.


The surprise me feature seems utterly pointless to me in this quiz ā€“ after all, its sole purpose is to deliver a helpful list of options based on your travel needs and interests.

Here you are presented with four options designed to narrow down the Topdeck trips available to you depending on how long you can get away.


I went for the ā€œup to two weeks and keen to make the most of itā€ option because itā€™s a nice length of time to be away.

Q3. What sounds better?

Another four options in this step which all sound pretty good to me tbh ā€“ albeit a little similar, but choose wisely as your decision here will affect your choices in the next step.


For example, if you select ā€œI donā€™t care as long as Iā€™m having a sick timeā€ and move to the next question, then you have all options available, but when ā€œIā€™m here for a good time not a long timeā€ is selected, then ā€œthe great outdoorsā€ in question four is voided.


There are other combinations of this too, so test and see what you get. I went with ā€œIā€™m here for a good time not a long timeā€ šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø

Question four is all about working out if you want to go island hopping around Croatia, Skiing in Switzerland, road-trippinā€™ in the USA or if you want to immerse yourself in the Japanese culture.

And last but not least is, of course, when would you like to go; and because I wanted a sun-bleached holiday, Iā€™ve gone for the ā€œJune to Augustā€ option to coincide with the European summer.

The results

The tours do meet the criteria I selected, and they are the kind of trips I would be interested in booking. So you know what? Iā€™m rather impressed by this.
