How we research, write and check our guides.

Every guide is built on our own datasets first — real departure prices and dates, who's-going numbers, and visa-eligibility logic across dozens of passports and destinations. The facts come from the data; the writing explains them. We don't publish pages that just summarise what's already online.

We use AI to help draft and structure our guides — but never to invent facts. The model works from our data and from sources we've supplied, and every draft is checked and edited by a person before it goes live. A human has the final say and the authority to reject anything that isn't accurate, useful and on-brand. We publish steadily and to a quality bar, not in bulk.

Our guides are published under named editors, each with a genuine area of focus — you'll find them on our author pages. They are editorial personas for the 18-35.travel team, not stock-photo strangers with invented credentials. Where a guide touches something high-stakes — visas, money, safety — we hold it to a higher bar and cite the official source directly.

For anything factual — visa rules, fees, requirements — we cite the primary, official source (government pages, the operator's own terms) and link to it so you can check for yourself. Prices and rules change; we show a "last updated" date on every guide and re-check time-sensitive content on a regular cadence.

If something's wrong or out of date, tell us via our contact page and we'll fix it and re-date the guide. We'd rather be corrected than be wrong.
