About this trip
A week travelling through Bulgaria by train, finishing across the border in Bucharest. This is a private tour, so it's just you (and your group) moving through the country at your own pace rather than joining strangers.
The route takes in Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse, with the train rides themselves part of the experience — forests, rivers and valleys passing by the window between stops.
Expect a mix of ancient history, medieval fortresses and elegant 19th-century architecture, alongside city time in Sofia for museums, boulevards and food.
