About this trip
This is a slow, well-paced journey through Bhutan's western valleys, taking in the country's mountain scenery, Buddhist heritage and everyday hospitality rather than rushing between sights.
You'll move through Paro, Thimphu, Phobjikha, Punakha and Wangduephodrang, visiting dzongs, monasteries and temples alongside a landscape that shifts from high Himalayan passes to the sub-tropical Punakha Valley.
It's a private, fully guided trip with an easy pace, suited to families or small groups who want depth over distance.
What you'll do
- Hike up to Taktsang Monastery, the Tiger's Nest, above Paro Valley
- Explore Ta Dzong Museum and Rimpong Dzong with its cantilevered wooden bridge

- Easy pace with private, fully guided arrangements throughout
- Suits families and those who prefer depth in a few valleys over covering the whole country
- Involves a hike to Taktsang Monastery, so some walking fitness helps
