Heritage & Wildlife Trail: Discovering Mysore, Bandipur, & Somanathpur

Three days that take you from Bangalore into the heart of Karnataka, mixing Mysore's palaces with a proper wildlife safari and one of the region's finest Hoysala temples.

You start in Mysore itself, taking in the scale of the Palace and the views from Chamundi Hills, before heading into Bandipur National Park for safaris where tigers, elephants and other wildlife are genuinely possible sightings, not guarantees.

The trip closes at Somanathpur, where the Chennakeshava Temple's carved stonework gives you a different kind of history to the palaces, and there's time along the way for Southern Indian food.
