About this trip
This nine-day route covers India's Golden Triangle with a wildlife detour added in. You move through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur for the historic sights, then break up the city-hopping with a couple of days tracking tigers in Ranthambore.
It's a good mix for anyone who wants the big monuments — the Taj Mahal chief among them — without the trip being wall-to-wall palaces and forts. Ranthambore, once the Maharajahs of Jaipur's hunting ground, gives the middle of the trip a different pace and a real shot at seeing wildlife in the wild.
Expect a steady run through history, culture and nature rather than time to settle in any one place.
