Wildlife Photography Tour India

Mumbai → New Delhi 16 days Up to 10

About this trip

Sixteen days built around India's tiger country, with four of its best reserves on the route alongside the classic Golden Triangle sites. This is a private, fully guided trip, so the pace and focus are shaped around you rather than a fixed group itinerary.

You'll spend real time in the field at Tadoba, Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh, tracking tigers and other wildlife across forests that inspired Kipling's Jungle Book and once served as royal hunting grounds. Between reserves, you take in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mumbai, so there's a mix of jungle mornings and city history.

It suits families or small groups wanting a proper wildlife photography focus without giving up the cultural landmarks — a chance to photograph tigers in the wild and still stand in front of the Taj Mahal.

What you'll do

  • Track tigers across Tadoba Tiger Reserve, home to around 88 of them
  • Explore Pench National Park, the original setting for Kipling's Jungle Book
  • Search for wildlife in Kanha National Park, another Jungle Book inspiration
  • Visit Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, once the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Rewa
  • See the Taj Mahal and Agra's UNESCO sites
  • Take in Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai's landmark architecture
Good to know
  • Private and fully guided, so timings and pace can flex to suit your group
  • Long trip covering four separate national parks plus four cities, expect a fair amount of internal travel
  • Wildlife sightings, including tigers, are never guaranteed however good the reserve
