About this trip
Five days covering the essentials of Cairo and a run out to Alexandria, with a fully guided pace that takes in ancient sites, museums and old city streets.
You start with the big one — the Giza Pyramids — then work through Cairo's layers of history, from the Egyptian Museum's collections to the older capitals at Saqqara and Memphis. Old Cairo and the Khan El Khalili bazaar bring in some street-level colour alongside the monuments.
