About this trip
Seven days covering Israel's core historical and religious sites, with a guide leading you through the country region by region rather than leaving you to piece it together yourself.
You work from north to south: the Sea of Galilee and Golan Heights, down the Mediterranean coast, then Masada and the Dead Sea, finishing with Jerusalem's old city. It's a lot of ground, but the route is built for people who want the well-known names ticked off with context rather than left to a guidebook.
Six nights' accommodation is included, with daily pickups from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem hotels, so you're based in one or both cities and head out on day trips rather than constantly changing hotels.
What you'll do
- Visit Capernaum and other sites around the Sea of Galilee
- Explore Nazareth and the Golan Heights in northern Israel
- Stop at Caesarea, Acre and Rosh HaNikra along the Mediterranean coast
- Climb Masada and float in the Dead Sea
- See Jerusalem's Western Wall, Mount of Olives and Holy Sepulchre Church
- Early starts — pickup is around 06:30 from Tel Aviv or 07:40 from Jerusalem, with return by 17:30-19:00
- This is a sightseeing-heavy itinerary with a professional guide, suited to those who want the classic sites explained rather than a slower, independent pace
Worth it if you want excellent guides and iconic sites. Think twice if driver safety and logistics matter hugely to you.
- Guides consistently praised as knowledgeable, warm, and deeply familiar with sites and local connections.
- Multiple reports of dangerous driving: speeding at 150 km/hr, road rage, texting, reckless roundabout and speed bump handling.
- Logistics issues: buses regularly 10-30 minutes late, large groups meant tours started before everyone arrived, dual-language delivery wasted time.
- Pre-arranged restaurant food consistently poor and expensive; clients suggest company allow free time to source own meals instead.
