About this trip
Six days across England, moving from Georgian streets to industrial history to open countryside. You'll take in castles, cathedral cities and one proper stretch of hills and lakes.
The route runs south to north: Bath and Windsor for the architecture and history, Oxford for its colleges, Stratford-upon-Avon for Shakespeare's birthplace, then on to Liverpool and York before finishing in the Lake District.
It's a partially guided trip, so you get some structure around the key sights with room to explore each stop on your own.
