About this trip
This is a long haul through Europe by coach, starting in Paris and working across the continent to Istanbul, with Egypt tacked on at the end. Forty-five days gives you room to properly cover ground that most trips only skim.
You'll pass through a wide mix of countries, from Romania and Switzerland to Amsterdam, with flights and ferries built in to cover the longer or watery stretches. It's a fully guided group trip, so the route and logistics are handled for you.
The Egypt extension takes you outside Europe entirely, adding a different pace and set of sights to round out the trip.
What you'll do
- Start the trip in Paris
- Travel overland by coach through Switzerland and Romania
- Cross into Istanbul at the eastern edge of the route
- Take in Amsterdam among the western stops
- Fly on to Egypt as an add-on beyond mainland Europe
- A long-format trip — 45 days on the road with a lot of countries to get through
- Coach-based travel with some flights and ferries included for the longer legs
- Fully guided throughout, so pace and stops are set by the group itinerary
Worth it if you want a genuinely fun 45-day European blitz with excellent group chemistry. Think twice if you need detailed logistical transparency—reviews don't mention costs, itinerary specifics, or potential downsides.
- Tour guide Greg was exceptional: knowledgeable, stayed out partying with the group nightly, answered any question, and turned strangers into family.
- Group dynamics were genuinely strong; multiple reviewers emphasised the bus became a tight-knit crew by trip's end.
- Reviews offer zero detail on costs, daily schedules, accommodation quality, food standards, or any concrete gripes whatsoever.
- Trip quality appears heavily dependent on guide calibre; Greg set an exceptionally high bar that future guides may struggle to match.
