About this trip
This is a self-drive route through Portugal, starting and finishing in Lisbon, with the freedom to move at your own pace between stops. You cover a mix of medieval walled towns, quieter villages and coastal spots over 8 days, taking in both the historic and the everyday side of the country.
Expect a loop that takes you inland to Castelo de Vide, north to Oporto, and along the coast to Figueira da Foz, with Lisbon bookending the trip. It's self-guided, so the driving and pacing are up to you, which suits families or anyone who'd rather explore on their own terms than follow a group timetable.
