About this trip
A full day in Luxor covering both banks of the Nile, with a private guide walking you through some of Egypt's most significant ancient sites. This is dense sightseeing rather than a slow wander, so expect to cover a lot of ground in around 8 hours.
You start on the west bank at the Valley of the Kings, then move to Habu Temple before crossing to Karnak and Luxor Temples on the east bank. Door-to-door transport and lunch are included, so the logistics are handled and you can focus on the history.
What you'll do
- Explore the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings
- Visit Habu Temple and learn about pharaonic burial rituals
- Walk through Karnak Temple's columns and courts
- See Luxor Temple's Nubian sandstone architecture
- Private guide throughout with door-to-door transport
- Full 8-hour day covering both the east and west banks, so plan for a fair amount of walking in the heat
- Lunch is included
- Fully guided throughout, suited to those who want context rather than exploring solo
