About this trip
Twelve days across Greece and Turkey, tracing a route from Athens through the Aegean islands to Istanbul and on to central Anatolia. You get ancient sites, island time and a proper change of scenery when you cross into Turkey.
The Greek leg starts with the Acropolis in Athens, then ferries across to Mykonos and Santorini for a few days of island pace before one last night back in Athens. From there you fly to Istanbul, take in Ankara, and finish among the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, including an early-morning hot air balloon flight over the valleys.
It's a moderate-pace itinerary with a private room throughout, and a mix of guided sightseeing and time to explore on your own — suited to friends, couples or family travelling together who want the big landmarks covered without every hour being scheduled.
