About this trip
This trip takes you off the well-worn Tokyo-Kyoto trail and southwest into Kyushu and Shikoku, two of Japan's less-visited islands, starting from Osaka.
You travel by public transport throughout, including the bullet train, with an expert tour leader guiding you through the culture, food and landscapes of the region.
Expect a mix of active days and cultural immersion, from cycling a famous coastal route to hiking an active volcano and learning about local cooking traditions.
