About this trip
Fifteen days of walking across Madagascar, from the Central Highlands down through rainforest reserves to a stretch of beach on the west coast. This is a trek-led trip, built around covering ground on foot rather than driving between sights.
You move through granite hills, sandstone formations and tropical forest, with national parks and reserves along the way giving you a real shot at spotting lemurs, chameleons and the island's birdlife. Village life features heavily too — markets, workshops, and time in remote communities that most visitors never reach.
It builds to a climb of Imarivolanitra, Madagascar's highest climbable peak, before winding down on Ifaty Beach.
