About this trip
Fourteen days along Colombia's Caribbean coast, built around one genuine challenge: the trek to Ciudad Perdida, the Lost City that predates Machu Picchu and sees a fraction of the visitors.
You'll spend time with rural and Indigenous communities to understand the region's traditions before heading into the jungle on foot, then balance that effort with proper downtime on the beach and walks through Tayrona National Park.
It's a trip that mixes hard trekking with genuine cultural contact and coastal relaxation, rather than just ticking off sights.
What you'll do
- Trek through jungle to reach Ciudad Perdida, the Lost City
- Walk the trails of Tayrona National Park
- Spend time with village communities learning Indigenous traditions
- Relax on Caribbean coast beaches
- Explore rural regions away from the main tourist routes
- The Lost City trek is a multi-day jungle hike, so expect a physical, sweaty middle stretch to the trip
- Good for travellers who want real trekking alongside beach time, not just one or the other
