About this trip
Thirteen days across Georgia and Armenia, starting in Tbilisi and finishing in Yerevan, with plenty of ground covered in between. Expect ancient fortresses, centuries-old churches, and canyon landscapes that have been lived in for generations.
This is a fully guided group trip built around history and culture rather than downtime, with a couple of hands-on stops along the way — an Armenian carpet weaving demonstration and a duduk masterclass. Food features heavily too, as it should in this part of the world.
What you'll do
- Explore Tbilisi's old town before heading into the Georgian countryside
- Visit ancient fortresses and centuries-old churches across both countries
- Travel through rugged canyon landscapes shaped by centuries of settlement
- Try your hand at Armenian carpet weaving
- Take a duduk playing masterclass
- Sample Georgian and Armenian cuisine along the route
- Sightseeing-heavy and fully guided — good fit if you want the history and culture laid out for you rather than working it out yourself
- Easy pace rated, but covers two countries in 13 days so travel days are part of the deal
