Golden Triangle Tour with Ranthambore

Start & end in New Delhi 8 days Up to 10

About this trip

This eight-day route covers the classic Delhi-Agra-Jaipur circuit, then adds on Ranthambore for a couple of jeep safaris in search of tigers. It is a solid mix of monuments, forts and wildlife, with a private guide for the historical stretches.

You will see the big names — the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal — as well as Fatehpur Sikri along the way. In Ranthambore a naturalist joins you on safari drives through one of India's best-known tiger reserves, though sightings are never guaranteed.

Delhi kicks things off with a rickshaw ride through the old city, and Jaipur throws in a jeep ride of its own. It suits anyone who wants both the classic monuments and a proper shot at spotting a tiger, rather than choosing one or the other.

What you'll do

  • Guided tour of Delhi covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb and India Gate
  • See the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
  • Explore Jaipur's Amer Fort, City Palace and Hawa Mahal
  • Wander the 16th-century ruins of Fatehpur Sikri
  • Jeep safaris in Ranthambore National Park with a naturalist
  • Rickshaw ride through Delhi and jeep ride in Jaipur
Good to know
  • Partially guided, with a private element for parts of the route
  • Tiger sightings in Ranthambore are down to chance, not guaranteed
  • A history-heavy itinerary with a wildlife add-on, so expect early starts for both sightseeing and safaris
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want authentic Golden Triangle coverage with genuine tiger spotting and excellent guides. Think twice if you dislike persistent shop stops, need structured downtime activities, or expect seamless handling of pre-booked add-ons.

  • Tiger sightings at Ranthambore and guides' deep cultural knowledge made the wildlife and monuments genuinely memorable.
  • Drivers and guides were consistently warm, English-speaking, and went out of their way to help with medical issues and safety.
  • Guides routinely steer groups to commission-earning shops regardless of interest; expect pressure to shop and paid activities feeling obligatory.
  • Pre-tour communication patchy; one group's pre-paid temple show was cancelled with no proper alternative or refund offered.
