About this trip
Three days, three cities: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, covering the route most people mean when they say Golden Triangle. You travel by private air-conditioned vehicle with a driver, picked up on your own schedule, and meet English-speaking local guides in Agra and Jaipur.
The centrepiece is a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, followed by the sandstone bulk of Agra Fort and, in Jaipur, the Amber Fort and the city's royal palaces. It is a tight, efficient itinerary aimed at people who want to see the big three sights properly without spending weeks doing it.
Rooms and pace can flex around who is travelling — solo, couple or family — and the route can be adjusted to add extras like Fatehpur Sikri or an evening market in Delhi if you want them.
What you'll do
- Watch the sun rise over the Taj Mahal with a licensed local guide
- Explore Agra Fort's palaces and courtyards
- Climb up to the Amber Fort outside Jaipur
- Tour Jaipur's royal palaces
- Travel between all three cities in a private air-conditioned vehicle
- Three cities in three days — this is a fast-moving overview, not a slow explore
- Pickup times run early, typically between 3am and 8am, to fit the sunrise Taj Mahal visit
- Itinerary and hotel category can be adjusted, including extra stops like Fatehpur Sikri or Abhaneri Stepwell
Worth it if you want iconic sights with reliable guides and drivers. Think twice if you dislike being rushed, dislike shopping stops, or expect pristine mid-range hotels everywhere.
- Guides like Tahir, Rahis and driver Virendra consistently praised for knowledge, safety and going extra miles to keep schedules.
- One Agra hotel (Karan's Villa) had visibly soiled sheets, damp towels and poor housekeeping despite complaints mid-stay.
- Itinerary feels rushed; lunch delayed until 4-7pm, shopping time cut short, and guides push commission-earning workshops hard.
- Bring cash for entry fees (not always listed upfront); skip bags at Taj Mahal; expect tourist-priced restaurants despite local recommendations.
