About this trip
Eight days based in the alpine town of Dobbiaco, walking out into the Dolomites each day rather than packing up and moving on. The pace is easy to moderate, with a local leader guiding you through UNESCO World Heritage-listed valleys and peaks.
Days are spent on the trail and evenings in village inns, with hearty mountain food to refuel on — apple strudel included.
This suits you if you want an active week without constantly changing beds, and don't mind some long walking days in variable mountain weather.
What you'll do
- Base yourself in the alpine town of Dobbiaco for the week
- Hike through UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites landscapes

- Weather swings from hot summer days to sudden rain and thunderstorms, with cool evenings, so pack proper waterproofs and warm layers
- The Day 7 cable car ride offers big views but may unsettle you if you're prone to vertigo
