About this trip
This is a full loop of Ireland, north and south, covering the coastline, the history, and the pubs along the way. Over 13 days you move from Belfast and Derry up to the Causeway Coast and Donegal, then down through the west to Kerry, Clare, and Kilkenny.
It's built as a small group trip rather than a big coach tour, which means the guide can get you to the quieter spots — a hidden beach, a cliff top view without the crowds — as easily as the well-known ones. Expect a mix of proper history (Belfast and Derry's troubled past) and Ireland's older stories, from the Giant's Causeway to the Rock of Cashel.
There's room for local life too — an impromptu music session in Doolin, a bike ride on the Aran Islands, time in the pubs that run from noon to midnight. Accommodation, transport, breakfast, and a guide are included throughout.
What you'll do
- Walk the Causeway Coast and learn the myths behind the Giant's Causeway
- Hear the history of Belfast and Derry, and walk Derry's city walls
- Hike Slieve League in Donegal and explore the surrounding hills
- See the Cliffs of Moher, the Rock of Cashel, and Blarney Castle
- Drive the Ring of Kerry and overnight near Killarney National Park
- Cycle the Aran Islands and catch a music session in Doolin
- Covers the whole island in 13 days, so travel days are frequent and the pace is brisk
- Small group format, closer to a road trip than a standard coach tour
- Suits travellers keen on a mix of history, landscape, and pub culture rather than just sightseeing
Worth it if you want a genuinely varied 13-day loop with standout guides who know Ireland inside out. Think twice if you need flexibility—the itinerary runs tight and on schedule.
- Guides Lee and Antony consistently took groups off-beaten-track to local pubs, hidden sites and surprise stops not on standard routes.
- Small group size meant strangers became friends; guides actively brought people together with humour, music, anecdotes and personal attention.
- Accommodation in clean, comfortable B&Bs and hotels was conveniently located; free days and suggested options gave breathing room.
- Tour runs on time with tight scheduling; early starts and long travel days inherent to covering full Irish circle in 13 days.
