About this trip
This 14-day trip runs from Hanoi down through Vietnam and across the border into Cambodia, finishing at Angkor. It's a fully guided route covering the country's main historical and coastal highlights at an easy pace.
You start in Hanoi before heading out to Halong Bay for a night aboard a traditional junk boat, then move south through the old imperial and trading towns of Hue and Hoi An, taking in the ruins at My Son along the way.
The tour ends in Cambodia with a few days exploring the Angkor temple complex, a natural high point to close out the trip.

- Departs every Saturday and Sunday from Hanoi
Worth it if you want a well-coordinated cultural deep-dive with reliable guides and drivers. Think twice if you need flexibility, lighter pacing, or guarantee of English-fluent guides.
- Guides and drivers consistently arrived early with genuine knowledge; standouts like Kwin, Tin Tin, and Danny handled logistical chaos smoothly.
- Some guides didn't speak English well enough for clear communication; itineraries packed cultural sites densely (8am-5pm days), limiting time to linger.
- Hotel quality inconsistent: mold reported in Hanoi, hygiene concerns in Hue; occasional transfer delays (1.5-hour wait after Ha Long Bay cruise).
- Itinerary heavily cultural-focused; nature and leisure activities limited if you prefer less structured, slower-paced exploration.
