About this trip
Eight days across Peru's coast and highlands, mixing history with nature. You travel by boat and by land, taking in Inca remains, colonial towns and one of the country's few protected wildlife reserves.
The trip runs as a private tour, partially guided, with some days left for you to explore independently at your own pace.
What you'll do
- Sail out to the Ballestas Islands to spot sea lions, penguins and seabirds
- Explore the remains of the Inca Empire
- Wander through Peru's colonial cities
- Travel between coast and Andes by both sea and land
- Private tour — just your group, not joined with others
- A mix of guided days and self-guided time, so some independence is expected
- Rated moderate — reasonable fitness helps but nothing extreme
