About this trip
A one-day escape from Bangkok to Bang Kachao, a green pocket of the city known locally as its oasis, wrapped by the river and thick with plantations and forest.
You get around by local bike and on foot, weaving along narrow elevated walkways with farmland and forest on either side, then swap wheels for a kayak on the quiet canals.
It is a slower, nature-focused day out rather than a city tour, ending with a motorboat ride that gives you a different view of Bangkok's skyline from the water.
