About this trip
Five days on the Nile between two of Egypt's great temple cities, moving by cruise boat as much as by coach. You start in Luxor, taking in the major sites on the east and west banks, then sail south toward Aswan, stopping at temples along the way.
The cruise itself is part of the experience — days built around sightseeing on land, evenings and travel time on the water. By the end you've covered a good stretch of ancient sites without the hassle of repacking each night.
In Aswan the pace softens, with a felucca sail around the islands rounding things off after a run of temples and tombs.
