About this trip
Sixteen days across Jordan and Egypt, covering two of the ancient world's biggest names without rushing past either. You start in Jordan's desert castles and Amman's markets, then work through Jerash, Ajloun, a village homestay and the Dead Sea before reaching Petra and Wadi Rum.
From Wadi Rum you fly to Egypt for Cairo's pyramids and museum, then down to Aswan and Luxor, including a night sailing the Nile on a traditional felucca. The tour ends with a sleeper train back to Cairo and a last wander through the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar.
It's a full itinerary with a lot of ground covered, but built around the sites themselves rather than constant transit, with proper time given to Petra and Luxor.
