About this trip
A private, customisable route through four of China's biggest draws: Shanghai, the water town of Xitang, Zhangjiajie's towering sandstone peaks, Xi'an, and Beijing.
You start in Shanghai's skyline and the canals of Xitang, then head to Zhangjiajie for the pillar-like karst mountains that inspired Avatar's floating peaks. From there it's on to Xi'an for the Terracotta Warriors and a spin around the ancient city wall, before finishing in Beijing with the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.
Being a private trip, the pace and details can be shaped around your family or group rather than following a fixed group itinerary.

- Guides like Yeena and Dina are genuinely exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and go beyond expectations.
- Staff (Ander, Joy, Wade) handle last-minute changes, complex requests, and tight schedules without fuss.
- Early starts are brutal—one reviewer faced a 3:45am pickup for flights on packed itineraries.
- Private customization means you'll skip generic crowds, but expect brisk pacing across multiple cities in short time.
