About this trip
Ten days moving from south to north, tracing Vietnam's history and landscape from Ho Chi Minh City up to Ha Long Bay. It's a proper cross-country route, so you get the contrast between the busy south, the old trading towns of the centre, and the more formal north.
Expect a mix of city time, history, and a couple of slower, scenic stretches — this isn't just temples and traffic, there's room to breathe along the way.
What you'll do
- Explore the Cu Chi tunnels outside Ho Chi Minh City
- Wander the old trading streets of Hoi An
- Visit the Hue Imperial city and My Son Sanctuary ruins
- See Da Nang and the central coast
- Cruise Ha Long Bay
- Finish in Ha Noi
- Covers a lot of ground — you'll change base city several times over the ten days
- Partially guided, so some days give you free time to explore on your own
- Suits families and groups travelling over Christmas and New Year
