About this trip
Four days on the road from Vancouver into the heart of the Rockies, taking in wine country, glaciers and mountain towns along the way.
You start with a scenic drive through the Okanagan Valley, stopping for wine tasting, before overnighting in Revelstoke. From there the route pushes into Banff to see the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Glacier, then on to the quieter mountain town of Valemount.
It is a compact, ground-covering trip rather than a slow one, good for anyone short on time who still wants the Rockies highlights and a glass of something local along the way.
