About this trip
Eleven days moving from the noise of Mumbai to the slower rhythm of Kerala, taking in hill stations, backwaters and beach along the way. You get a private driver throughout, so the logistics fade into the background and the sightseeing takes over.
Mumbai gives you the city side of the trip, from its street life to the open-air Dhobi Ghat laundry. Then it's south to Kerala for tea plantations in Munnar, a night on a deluxe houseboat through the backwaters, and time to properly slow down on Kovalam beach.
Along the way there's a Kathakali performance in Kochi, a Kalaripayattu martial arts display, spice plantations, a boat safari in Periyar, and a stop at Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India.
