About this trip
This trip runs independently across three countries — starting in Salta, Argentina, crossing into San Pedro de Atacama in Chile, and finishing at the Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia. You travel on dates that suit you rather than joining a fixed group departure.
The landscapes are the main draw: the vast white expanse of the Uyuni salt flats, the high-altitude Altiplano with its coloured lagoons and volcanoes, and the dry stretches of the Atacama desert. Alongside this you get a look at Andean culture, traditions and food.
For days 6 to 10, covering the Salar de Uyuni tour, you share a vehicle with five other travellers, so this stretch has a small-group feel even though the rest of the trip is arranged just for you.
What you'll do

- Explore the Altiplano's coloured lagoons, volcanoes and geysers

- Rated easy paced, with a mix of sightseeing and downtime
