About this trip
Three weeks across Vietnam and Cambodia, moving from the old streets of Hanoi through mountain villages, ancient capitals, coastal cities and the Mekong Delta before finishing among the temples of Angkor.
The pace is steady rather than rushed, with time built in to actually look around Hanoi, Hoi An and Siem Reap rather than just pass through them. Along the way you take in a Halong Bay cruise, the rice terraces around Sapa, and the very different energy of Ho Chi Minh City.
It closes in Cambodia, with Phnom Penh's Royal Palace and markets followed by Angkor Wat and the craft workshops of Siem Reap, giving the trip a proper sense of arrival at the end.
