About this trip
Eleven days across Japan's classic route, from Tokyo's Imperial Palace to the deer of Nara and the street food of Osaka. You'll move through cities and countryside at a steady pace, with small groups keeping things personal.
Highlights include Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for the views, Nikko's old shrines, and Kyoto's mix of bamboo forest, fox-shrine gates at Fushimi Inari, and Kinkaku-ji's gold reflection on water.
It's a partially guided trip, so you'll have expert guides for the key sights but also room to explore Osaka's backstreets and food scene on your own.
