Group Tour: Ancient Greece, Acropolis & Saronic Islands

Athens → Aegina 8 days Up to 55

About this trip

Eight days out of Athens by coach, covering some of Greece's most significant ancient sites alongside a day at sea in the Saronic Gulf.

You'll travel to Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi and the monasteries of Meteora, four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, before a full-day cruise taking in Poros, Hydra and Aegina. Back in Athens, a guided visit to the Acropolis rounds things off.

It's a fully guided group tour pitched as easy-going, with the coach doing the hard work between sites so you can focus on what you're seeing.

What you'll do

  • Explore the ruins of Mycenae and Olympia
  • Visit Delphi and the cliffside monasteries of Meteora
  • Cruise to the Saronic Islands of Poros, Hydra and Aegina
  • Walk the car-free streets of Hydra
  • See the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina
  • Guided tour of the Acropolis in Athens
Good to know
  • Easy-paced and fully guided, with a coach handling travel between sites
  • Suits families and those who'd rather not plan logistics themselves
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want hassle-free access to major Greek sites with island time. Think twice if you need intimate group experiences or premium accommodation.

  • Guide Kostas delivered genuinely interesting local insights during island visits with clear, accessible explanations.
  • Pick-ups from multiple hotels and mid-tour group mergers left buses overcrowded at already-packed historical sites.
  • Hotels are basic and clean, not the quality standards TourRadar apparently maintained previously.
  • Island visits to Hydra and Aegina delivered genuinely impressive views and well-deserved downtime from mainland rushing.
