About this trip
Eight days moving through Central Europe by train, from Berlin down to Budapest, with a local leader who knows the cities well. Expect a mix of guided walks through post-war history and plenty of free time to wander on your own.
You will take in Berlin and Prague's landmarks, eat your way through Dresden's Saxon cooking, and get a feel for Bratislava's cafe and boutique scene before finishing in Budapest.
Travel between stops is by train through the countryside, which keeps things relaxed and gives you a proper sense of the distances and landscapes between cities.

- Accommodation is basic and can include shared bathroom facilities and twin beds pushed together
- Luggage needs to be light enough to carry up stairs and onto trains yourself, as storage space is limited
