About this trip
Seven days through southern China with a private guide and driver, starting in Hong Kong and finishing among the peaks of Zhangjiajie. You move from city energy to karst scenery to dramatic sandstone forest, with the pace built around family travel rather than ticking off sights fast.
You base yourself in Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong before taking the high-speed rail to Guilin, then cruise the Li River to Yangshuo and cycle through the countryside there. The trip ends in Zhangjiajie, where you spend time in the National Forest Park that inspired Avatar's floating mountains.
This is a private trip throughout, so timings and pace flex around your group, with a guide with you for the main sights and some time left free.
