About this trip
Six days that cover a lot of ground, from Hanoi's old streets to the limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay and on to Da Nang and the hills above it. It's a fast introduction to Northern and Central Vietnam rather than a deep dive into any one place.
You'll take in Trang An's rivers and caves, the temples of Hoa Lu, and a cruise through Ha Long Bay before heading south to the coast, where the Ba Na Hills cable car and Golden Bridge round things off.
What you'll do
- Wander Hanoi's old quarter
- Boat through the caves and rivers of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex
- Visit the temples of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital

- Ride the cable car up to Ba Na Hills
- See the Golden Bridge held up by giant stone hands
- A short, fast-moving trip that hits major sights rather than lingering — good if your time in Vietnam is limited
- Covers both North and Central Vietnam, so expect some travel between regions
