About this trip
Eighteen days across Vietnam, moving from the busy streets of Hanoi up to the hill country of Sapa, out onto the water in Halong Bay, then down through the old towns of Hoi An and Hue to Ho Chi Minh City and finally the beaches of Phu Quoc.
It's a wide-angle look at the country — cities, rice terraces, limestone karsts, old imperial streets and a stretch of coast — so you get variety rather than depth in any one place.
Paced as an easy, partially guided trip, it suits travellers who want the big names covered without pushing too hard, with time built in to just sit on a beach at the end.
