About this trip
This short extension takes you overland from Goa into the heart of Karnataka, ending up among the ruins of Hampi, once the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire and now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The route itself is part of the experience — you break the drive with stops in Gadag and Lakkundi, two old towns known for their temple architecture, before reaching Hampi's boulder-strewn landscape of ruins.
