About this trip
Ten days through central India's tiger country, starting with a look at Delhi before flying south to three of the country's best-known national parks. This is a wildlife-focused trip built around game drives rather than city sightseeing.
You'll spend time in Kanha, the forest that inspired Kipling's Jungle Book, then Bandhavgarh, once the private hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Rewa, and finish in Pench, the actual setting Kipling used for his stories. Each park has its own character but the common thread is dense forest, open grassland and a real chance of spotting tigers.
It suits anyone keen on nature and safari rather than museums and monuments, though Delhi gets a brief look in at the start.
