About this trip
Three days in the High Atlas Mountains, built around walking rather than summiting Toubkal. The pace is easy to moderate throughout, with time built in for tea with Berber families, village life, and the valleys themselves.
You start with a drive from Marrakech to Imlil, then walk through the Aït Mizan Valley to Armed, staying overnight with a local family or in a guesthouse with a traditional dinner. Day two crosses into the Azaden Valley, past waterfalls and walnut groves, over the Tizi Mzik Pass, ending in the village of Tizi Oussem for homemade tagine and stargazing.
The final day is a gentle walk over the Tizi n'Tacht Pass before descending to Imi Oughlad, where you're driven back to Marrakech. It suits anyone wanting a quieter, culture-first introduction to the Atlas rather than a peak-bagging trek.
