About this trip
Fourteen days that cover two of the most classic overland routes in Asia: India's Golden Triangle followed by a swing through Nepal. You start in Delhi, then move through Agra and Jaipur before crossing into Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara.
It's a lot of ground — Mughal forts and palaces in India, then Himalayan views, Buddhist stupas and jungle safari in Nepal. The pace is steady rather than rushed, but you're covering two countries with very different rhythms in under two weeks.
Expect a mix of history, wildlife and mountain scenery, with private rooms throughout and guiding provided at the key sights.
What you'll do
- See Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Gandhi Memorial, India Gate and Parliament House in Delhi
- Visit Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal
- Ride an elephant up to Amer Fort in Jaipur
- Visit Swayambhunath and Boudhanath stupas in Kathmandu
- Take an elephant safari in Chitwan National Park
- Explore the Gupteshwor Mahadev Caves in Pokhara
- Partially guided — some sections are on your own or with local guides rather than the full group leader throughout
- Covers two countries in 14 days, so travel days between India and Nepal are part of the deal
- Private room option available if you'd rather not share
Worth it if you want a well-organised first trip to India and Nepal with reliable drivers and decent hotels. Think twice if you need detailed itinerary specifics or want to hear about any genuine logistical hiccups.
- Drivers consistently named (Rajesh, Deep Chand, Ram, Deepak) praised for punctuality, safe driving, and genuine care throughout long journeys.
- Hotel selection across both countries described as excellent, comfortable, clean, and well-located by multiple independent reviewers.
- Mountain flight tour and sunrise visit to Taj Mahal mentioned as standout experiences that lived up to expectations.
- Every review praises organisation and planning, but none specify actual itinerary details, early starts, travel day length, or group dynamics.
