About this trip
Fourteen days combining tiger-reserve safaris with the classic Golden Triangle cities, so you get both wildlife tracking and heritage sightseeing in one trip.
Safari time is split between Bandhavgarh and Ranthambore, two of India's best-known tiger reserves, while the cultural side takes in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur along with Varanasi and Khajuraho.
It's a partially guided group trip with private rooms throughout, moderate in pace, and covers a lot of ground given the number of destinations.
What you'll do
- Track tigers on safari drives in Bandhavgarh National Park
- Search for wildlife in Ranthambore National Park
- Explore the Mughal and Rajput sights of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur
- See the Ganges ghats and old city of Varanasi
- Visit the temple carvings of Khajuraho
- Moderate pace but a long list of stops for 14 days, so travel days between destinations are frequent
- Partially guided, with private rooms rather than shared
- Itinerary can reportedly be adjusted, so confirm the fixed route before you book
