About this trip
Eleven days across the Balkans, starting in Belgrade and finishing on the Dalmatian coast at Split. You move through Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia, taking in capital cities, alpine lakes, medieval towns and island coastline along the way.
The route mixes city time with landscape and history: Belgrade's street life, Ljubljana and Lake Bled in Slovenia, the hilltop towns of Istria, Plitvice's waterfalls, then Split, Trogir and Hvar on the coast. Local food comes into it too, with a truffle experience in Istria and oyster tasting near Split.
It's a guided, easy-paced trip built for covering ground without rushing, with a few added extras beyond the standard sightseeing stops.
