About this trip
This is a long haul across Europe by coach, covering an enormous amount of ground in five and a half weeks. You start in London and work your way through mainland Europe down to Greece and its islands, then back again, with proper stops in Paris, Rome, Dubrovnik and Athens along the way.
It's built for people who want breadth over depth — a first proper look at the continent's big-hitters rather than lingering in any one place. Expect a mix of walking tours, boat crossings and free time to explore, with the group moving together throughout.
Two special stays break up the road time: Contiki Haus Schöneck and Chateau de Cruix, both a change of pace from the usual overnight stops.
What you'll do
- Wander the streets and sights of Paris
- Take in Rome's ancient landmarks
- Explore the old town of Dubrovnik
- Sail or ferry across to Greece's islands
- See Athens and its ancient ruins
- Stay at Contiki Haus Schöneck and Chateau de Cruix
- Long trip at 37 days, with frequent changes of base — better suited to those who want a broad sweep of Europe than a slow-paced holiday
- Shared rooms throughout, travelling as part of a fixed group
- Coach travel makes up a good part of the journey between countries
Worth it if you want non-stop European coverage with genuinely exceptional trip management. Think twice if you prefer a slower pace or worry about group dynamics feeling forced.
- Trip managers consistently went above and beyond: solving lost phones, creating backup plans, feeling like friends rather than staff.
- Packing 37 days of France and Europe required serious organisation; reviewers praised detailed day sheets, maps, and logistics that made it all work.
- Pace is relentless and not for everyone; described as very fast-paced, action-packed, though one reviewer found included activities underwhelming.
- Trip quality depends heavily on your specific trip manager; one reviewer felt theirs was cocky, while others experienced genuinely exceptional leaders.
