Eight days sailing around the seven volcanic Aeolian Islands aboard a wooden gulet, with time to swim, eat well and watch the coastline change from one bay to the next.

You're one of 14 passengers aboard a 26-metre boat with a crew of four, so it stays personal — everyone has a private cabin and bathroom, and the pace is set by the sea rather than a fixed itinerary.

Meals are a big part of it. The onboard chef cooks Aeolian and Sicilian dishes throughout, so lunches and dinners become as much a part of the trip as the islands themselves.
