Valley of the Kings Tour: 3-Days Guided tours to Aswan, Abu Simbel & Luxor (Optional Sunrise Hot air Balloon)

Aswan → Luxor 3 days Up to 10

About this trip

Three days across Aswan and Luxor, covering some of Egypt's best-known ancient sites with a guide who knows the history behind them.

You'll take a motorboat out to Philae Temple, make an early trip to Abu Simbel, and spend time exploring the tombs and temples on both banks of the Nile at Luxor. Accommodation and transport between sites are sorted for you.

There's an optional sunrise hot air balloon over Luxor if you fancy an early start, though it's not compulsory.

What you'll do

  • Reach Philae Temple by motorboat with a guide
  • Visit Abu Simbel's temples
  • Explore the Valley of the Kings
  • Cover both Luxor's west and east banks
  • Optional sunrise hot air balloon over Luxor
Good to know
  • Fast-paced for three days — you're covering Aswan, Abu Simbel and Luxor in that time
  • Early starts are likely given the distances between sites
  • Suits families and groups who want the major sights hit efficiently rather than a slow wander
What travellers actually say

Worth it if you want brilliant guides and unhurried temple access. Think twice if you need proactive communication and top-tier accommodation.

  • Michael and Khaled are standout guides who made temples come alive with knowledge and genuine warmth.
  • Communication about schedules and logistics is reactive, not proactive; you'll chase answers about timings and pickups.
  • Aswan hotel standards vary wildly; one reviewer faced no water, soap or internet in their room.
  • Nubian Village add-on costs extra and frankly isn't worth it; independent taxi visit is cheaper and sufficient.
